my reaction to the overruling of Roe v. Wade. despite my proclaimed outrage and living about an hour's drive from DC I did not attend any of the following protests outside of the supreme court. I did briefly volunteer for an org but I didn't last long doing that. It was too unglamorous for me I guess. It was just copying contact info off of corporation's websites for a campaign requesting they clarify their views towards abortion. I only processed maybe a dozen websites over a few days before I stopped.

funny the things you get to excuse
when god is the reason, the lord that you choose
it was never about the unborn children
the ones that were born are starving by the million

crime is
defined by the state
give us
a reason to hate
time's up
is it too late?
better hope not
let's decide our fate

christo-facist
is our nation
we're taking the expressway to the middle ages
the sign at wegmans says love wins
how long before it's decreed a sin?

plenty of money to give for a war
want an abortion you call me a whore
less rights than a corpse, how could it get worse
the new american dream is to leave
